Community Involvement
We feel as a successful member of the Glen Eden community it is only fitting to give something back to the community that has helped us achieve what we are today.
We have supported the Ronald McDonald House. For children facing a serious medical crisis, nothing seems terrifying than not having their mum and dad close by for love and support. The Ronald McDonald House programme provides a "home-away-from-home" for families so they can stay close by their hospitalised child at no cost. The houses are built on the simple idea that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on healing their child – not where they can afford to stay, where they will get their next meal or where they will lay their head at night to rest.
Ray White Glen Eden also gives their support to The Glen Eden Bowling Club, The Glenora Bears Rugby, Spartakiade and Hospice West.
On October 31st, the team headed out to Ronald McDonald House to cook up a feast for the families staying there. Approximately 120 people enjoyed a feast of roast chicken, potatoes, kumara with vegetables. Of course there were lashings of gravy and cheese sauce to accompany it and for dessert, there was trifle.
